MIA and Harry

greetings my fellow boxers- and hello to the newbies- I have been a wee bit MIA lately- but I think you will understand it was for good reason. One of my many hats is a book buyer at the University Bookstore and I have been planning out party of parties- the release party for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- so I could not resist the opportunity to work in a wee bit of boxing. If inclined to attend the most magical party in town, feel free to come to this free event.

Watch out for muggles of both worlds, and when you happen to see a witch named Artemisia Lufkin- ask her if she has a frog in her pocket and poof apprio boxio!!

Great stuff! Wondered where you'd been. Glad you haven't disappeared! Wish I could run into the witch, but perhaps another time!

And, (just a hint of things to come next spring)as I glimpse into my crystal ball, what should my all-seeing eye see but mid-Missouri letterboxers re-reading the entire Harry Potter series or *gasp* reading it for the first time by next May. While it is not required to do so, it will vastly enhance your letterboxing adventures next spring.

OMG! I have planned to re-read the series and catch up while on vacation soon. I guess that is a good thing. i have two LBers that hope to meet the witch this Friday. One needs reading material for the beach. His father has threatened with "Grapes of Wrath" or his choice. Guess what he chose? See you soon.

I think I may be up for a witch hunt (the good kind) tonight. Anyone up for a midnight hunt afterwards. I know of a box nearby that even I have yet to find.

Wow, what a party. i enjoyed the free sherbert, and butterbeer and dragonscales snacks. I would have loved to have made a wand but didn't want to wait in the line.
I'm glad I bought my book just after midnight (though admittedly i bought it elsewhere where I wouldn't have to compete with s line)--lots of local stores have already sold out. I stayed up and read 300 pages after midnight in the early hours of Saturday morning. Then I got up and went to work and went home and read the rest (finished it at about 10:30 p.m.) I won't say anything to spoil the book, especially the ending, but I will say that it's excellent writing, and you should all read the whole series (or at least book one) by next May.
