Pirate's booty

It wasn't exactly letterboxing, but I used all my planting skills for a treasure hunt this week. Our almost-5 grandson is visiting and is enamored with pirates. I spent $3 at Good Will for a great old jewelry chest and a couple bucks more for trinkets.

The creek behind our house provided a great jungle in which to hide the loot. Take a look at the photos of the Treasure of the Dread Pirate Big Gus...

Oh my gosh, how much fun! I am hoping that some of the groups creativity rubs off on me!
It was great meeting you all the other evening! Can't wait to do it again.

Ahoy, we did a treasure hunt for one of my son's birthdays, complete with map, wooden swords, eye patches, treasure, and a pirate. The kids had a blast and so did pirate J-Corn!

A fine use of those boxin skills to be sure.

The photos are sure to be the greatest treasure of all.

Great fun! I think LB (or treasure hunts) are great personal gifts that create wonderful memories, for young or old. There's been a good deal of it passing around the Mid-MO LB community.

I'd much rather recieve a personalized hunt than a pair of socks!

Actually, I could use a pair of socks...I've been so busy lately that a new (clean) pair of socks would currently be far more useful than a hunt (since I haven't had time to do laundry in forever)

;)

I think I;'m just kidding, but sometimes I am not so sure.
