Country Drive anyone?

Just wanted to let you all know that we planted a new box in a virgin county - Monroe County! Check out the clues on LBNA and do a little research on Union Covered Bridge. If you're really hot, you can take a dip in the creek!

Enjoy!

Virgin county indeed. It is my hope that we can eventally get a letterbox in every county in Missouri, and especially one at every state park and historic site.
I'm glad to see that you chose Union Covered Bridge...I was visiting it last fall and was thinking it would be a great place for a stamp if I could just figure where to place it that it wouldn't get flooded out. Glad to see that you beat me to the punch.

At least there are still a couple of covered bridges that could use a letterbox.

Covered bridges are indeed fantastic historical structures. During our summer tour last year of SE MO Fox-Fyr and I visited Bollinger Mill (which is fascinating alone) but right there with it is the Burfordville Covered Bridge, which is the oldest remaining covered bridge in MO. We went there why? For a LB of course! I think even then we discussed a series highlighting each of the remaining covered bridges in MO.

Well done to Queenbusick for drawing attention to those wonderufl bits of history.

Thanks all and the Scorp and his crew became proud FF this weekend. I am hoping to make this into a complete series..DH has discovered he was born to carve (which is good for us) as I was born to make books!

we just love this sport!
